This exhibition explores Franziska’s most recent creative process, building on her journey of making sense and bringing things into order. Simply put, her work is a translation of her personal experiences from the outside world to her inner self, and back out onto the canvas. It is in the process of painting that she finds clarity in a world that often feels overwhelming and unsettling. In a world that she tries to understand.

The title “Finding Myself” expresses both Franziska’s self-discovery through painting and her attempt at simply being here, now. The “abstract world” refers not only to her dynamic, multi-layered paintings, but also to the ever-changing environment we all navigate daily.

In the exhibition, we focus on her latest abstract paintings from the Decoded series and the unique ceramic wall objects called Klötzchen that continue her painted works into the space around them. These latest works feel more organic, more serene and grounded than her earlier, more colorful or more geometric works.

“I was more than pleased with Shir’s beautiful hanging and presentation concept of the artworks and the weekend was a great success.”
